In first 2 months after mobile number portability launch (1st of July 2013) were ported 11457 numbers, and one month from the launch of this service in fixed networks (31st of July 2013) – 5856 numbers. In this period, were registered 12856 porting requests: 12565 for mobile numbers and 291 for fixed numbers. Out of total requests 11457 were approved, 712 – rejected for reasons not depending on the telephone service providers, and 687 requests are in process.
For the first time in Republic of Moldova, all three mobile operators launched, at the same time with number portability, offers with unlimited minutes for calls in any mobile or fixed network valid for 1year. Also, for the first time on this market, a fixed telephony provider offers unlimited minutes for calls in fixed network valid for 1year.
Beneficiaries of new mobile services packages with unlimited minutes were already convinced of the advantages of number portability.
Not so long ago, these subscribers paid monthly one or two hundred lei or even thousands lei for in-network and off-network calls, in some cases they paid at the end of the month for extra minutes but now they pay only the price for packages with unlimited minutes.
